TREATMENT
CENTER FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY AND PSYCHOANALYSIS
The
Treatment Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, a division
of the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis, is a patient referral
service which links people to psychoanalytically trained, licensed
Manhattan Institute graduates and candidates.
The
Center is dedicated to providing psychotherapeutic services at affordable
fees.
Type
of treatment, length of time and frequency of sessions are tailored
to the individual needs of the patient.
Counseling,
psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis are offered to adults, adolescents
and children, for a wide range of concerns including, but not limited
to:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Eating Disorders
- Illness related issues
- Life transitions
- Relationship and family problems
- Parenting
- Gay and lesbian issues
- Grief and bereavement
- Caregiver issues
How
Does It Work?
Once
you call the Manhattan Institute General Center, you will be scheduled
for an appointment for an initial consultation to discuss your concerns
and needs. You will then be referred to a therapist for further
consultation and treatment, appropriate to your particular situation.
There are no waiting lists. Your call will be answered promptly.
What
are the costs involved?
The
fee for the initial intake is $35. Fees for treatment will be set
by the therapist based on your financial situation, using a sliding
scale, which starts at $35 per session.
Students may qualify for reduced fees starting at $15

Sessions
are held in the private offices of therapists throughout New York
City.
